For home defense I 100% agree with Mike, a rem 870 pump is the perfect home defense weapon.
I recommend this: Rossi 972, 6in Barrel, 357 Mag
Look familiar? Ammo is around $20 a box, dead simple to use, great for target practice, and definitely has that sh!t your pants factor for criminals.
