I have been smoking for about a solid year now and always recommend to anyone that is trying the hobby for the first time to get their hands on some sampler packs. You can then sample all different types of cigars and let them lead you into different directions. Try going onto

http://www.famous-smoke.com/ and check out the different samplers available. Some local cigar shops may even offer samplers.
As for my favorites so far....definately the Drew Estate Liga Privada line and the Drew Estate Undercrown. Note that I state "so far." Your taste will continue to change but you will certainly remember your favorites.
