Wrong, Houshmanzadeh was an excellent receiver, Johnson, not so much. Look at what Johnson has done in New England when he has to actually run routes and be a productive member of the team. He notoriously doesn't work hard, doesn't run the right routes and is lazy on plays he doesn't get the ball. Carson also had a very good offensive line in front of him. Look at the stats decline when he lost Richie and Steinbach and Willie.
Carson also wanted a voice in the situation, and was never given one. He was forced to throw to primadona receivers to get them their stats and play in a predictable system. For most of the time Carson played for the Bengals, the team was run by Brown and the locker room run by the players. Sadly, it appears Lewis may finally have more control and the lack of egos in the locker room is benefiting the Red Rocket, instead of Carson.
