I need a host the caliber of Photobucket that would be good for this other stuff. I don't want folks to have to go to a website, sign up, and all that crap to get a file. Just a good, old-fashioned click-save as.
I Googled, and didn't find an option that didn't look cheesy.

There's a bunch of them. The table in that link shows what each service offers. Any of them should work for your needs.
I've used Drop Box and RapidShare. These days I use SkyDrive mostly because of the lack of file expiration--and because I'm lazy and I don't really want to think about it.
