Not even close to the Jeter analogy, he had more than double the years with the Yankees and has a handful of rings with them as well. He has had very admirable seasons here but he certainly doesn't have the persona that Jeter does in New York and the MLB
He is the face of the franchise per-se, but does a player who is an All-Star and Gold Glover want to stay in Cincinnati for possibly less money than he could get elsewhere playing for a contender?
