I just got back from a cruise. I've been on about 5 so far. You definitely get more bang for your buck with cruises.

My bit of advice would be to take a newer ship. And check beforehand that they have a cigar bar or allow cigar smoking inside. The Carnival Holiday did not allow cigar smoking inside, only outside on the decks. And it was somewhat of an annoyance.
