Stubbs was due for another strikeout to extend his major league lead. Nothing like a lead off hitter with an OBP in the top 200 in the MLB and an average in the 180's in the league.

Stubbs pretty much showed tonight that he has nothing to do with this teams success or lack there of. He gets on base and they don't win, he strikes out 4 times a game and they can. Solution: trade him away for Reyes.

As far as Stubbs is concerned, I'm not sure he should be traded, but he is definitely not a leadoff hitter. We need a leadoff hitter, but I think Stubbs would be much better in the 6-8 hole in the lineup each night. Yes, he leads the MLB in Strikeouts, but I'd take his offense anyday over Renteria's/Janish's/Gomes'/Lewis'.
