Ive noticed that i like the OpusX that have a darker wrapper. the 06 wrapper is darker than the 07 etc...
whatever the weather conditions that happened the year that wrapper was grown i hope they repeat themselves and soon. LOVE the darker ones.
if you look at the original release Opusx, those wrappers are DARK. they almost look as dark as the anejo... almost. an untrained eye may even call them maduro if the band was not on there.

I will agree with both statements here. I stopped buying Opus X last year because the recent releases were too harsh and not what I expected from the Opus X line. The older one, particularly the 06 and 07 were good fresh, and even better now. I was even disappointed with the Lost City series as well. Of the recent production, the Opus Shark was the only ones I've had fresh and liked. For the most part, I have stopped buying Opus X, and I am even contemplating selling off part of my Opus X drawer from my vinotemp.
