Yes, GABP is a better ball park (the view, atmosphere, you can actually see the river, etc...), but Riverfront was a place where history was made and was home to the Big Red Machine. I'm sure those who remember Crosley Field felt the same way when they tore it down as I do about Riverfront. |
Oh yeah, I am sure it was sad to see it torn down. I remember different memories b/c I wasn't around for the Big Red Machine. I remember a drunk guy running onto the field during a huge storm and security obliterating the guy
I was also there when Barry Larkin joined the 40/40 club. I was there for the last game at Riverfront as well. I also remember feeling like I was going to fall out of the stands climbing the red seats at the top..
