Default Re: You want fries with that?

Jobs in college - wow, do I remember some doozies. With my mother having Multiple Schlerosis and my brother born with Spina Bifida, finances were tight at home. So, although they said my parents could give X amount of $$ to my education, it just wasn't there, so I had to provide it myself. I worked 30+ hours a week while going to school full-time.

And I remember some of my buddies who laughed at me for having to work so hard, telling me I needed to find another way to get the money so that I could enjoy college. Some of those types worked as hard at their studies too, and some of them found themselves back at home.

Never did McDonald's, but I can see where a hungry college student might find that a job with some great benefits.

Gods blessings in your continued studies.

My 16 yr old son just got his first job at a local nursing home, dietary assistant (means he brings out the food and does the dishes). Wish I made $8.50 as a starting wage when I was in H.S. and College. I remember being stoked when minimum wage went up to $3.25 an hour.

Peace of the Lord be with you.
