For a while I was shoveling and holding the cigar in my lips, but that was making me salivate profusely, so I grabbed an ashtray and set the stick there to rest. I built up a good routine--shovel a bit, take a puff or two, go back and shovel a bit more. It was cold but enjoyable, and the stick was strong and tasty. UNTIL....

So what unexpected events have caused your smoking to come to an untimely end?

Jesse,
You made me laugh. I live in Milwaukee. I've had the exact same thing happen to me twice. The second time really p****ed me off for being so dumb.
Right now the wind chill is -10 degrees. 30mph winds. I took the dog out back so he do his thing. My cigar got blown out of my mouth and down a tiny opening in my hoodie. I was wearing a T Shirt underneath. I got my hoodie off in 1.4 seconds flat. Damn it's cold! And the funny thing is that when my giant 125lb German Shepherd did his thing, the wind made his poop fly a foot away from him. Never saw that before.
