Re: For a slow techy, I discovered the world

Re: First Firearm Thread.

Yea, I wish I lived just outside of Boston city limits (ie Cambridge, Arlington) as it would make it much easier. My safety class instructor lives in Arlington, and he said that the Police Chief...

Re: First Firearm Thread.

I just started the process to get a LTC-A in Boston (unrestricted, concealed). Probably will end up with the A, non concealed, but that's fine. It comes down to the Police Chief's discretion, and 9...

Re: Scotch Q&A

I'm in a similar situation as you. I never was much of a scotch guy until recently, when I had the chance to do a vertical taste test on Highland Park 18, 25 and 30 years. The 18 year is reasonable,...

Re: What are you drinking right now?

Tonight, my girlfriend & I had a bottle of Lucien Albrecht Cremant d'Alsace Brut Rose, followed by a Mionetto Brut Prosecco with steak.

I've been on a Rose kick lately, but I prefer the standard...

Re: Cool Bullet Ice Cubes

Charles & Marie (http://tinyurl.com/566bfs) has them stateside, albeit overpriced, for $15.

Cool idea, but very hard to pull off the "perfect" bullets. Nine times out of ten, there's too much...

Re: Fantasy Hockey 08-09

I'm just happy Lundqvist finally got his first shutout the other night, and second last night!

He led the league with ten last year, and it took him half a season to get one this year. Damn...

Re: Freezing

Not necessarily, unfortunately. Here's what Rob Ayala (http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=88214&st=0&p=88403&#entry88403) has to say about HSA's freezing process:

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread

They're not worried about the weather on New Years Day, they are worried about the weather right now, and the past few days being too warm to get the correct amount of ice down in time for New Years...

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread

I'm very excited for the Winter Classic, I just hope it isn't delayed a day due to the warm weather like the rumors are hinting at.

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread

Also, I'm sure this has been posted, but I can't get enough of Dave Mishkin's screaming play-by-play goals. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z45n6Ttvog)

Tell Craig that staring isn't going to help his chances of getting laid. :D

Re: Death Race

The original, Death Race 2000, is very campy but an awesome movie if you go into it knowing that it's D-list quality at best.

I haven't seen the new one yet, but it's on the short list of movies...

You can remove tags from photos you know.

The remove function has saved my rear end quite a few times. :D

Re: Weekly discussion for "The Shield"

I'm a bit disappointed Vic didn't meet a slug, but I guess the desk job is the next worst thing that could have happened to him.

3 years in a suit pushing paper is 10x worse than jail for him,...

Re: Weekly discussion for "The Shield"

Holy **** this show kicks all sorts of ass. IMHO, Vic taking immunity cemented his death at the hands of Ronnie.

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread

I'm not terribly too surprised about him getting the axe already, but it is a bit of a disappointment.

About a month before the season started I ran into him at a cigar bar in Boston. Didn't...

Re: 4,300 year old pyramid discovered!

Definitely something to do, although it's much more fun when you luck out and get an entire area to yourself (ie some of the lesser known pyramids). Sometimes the hordes of photo tourists are...

Re: Question about screws/rods in body...

I've got a titanium rod in my left femur, screws near my hip, and a ti-plate w/ screws in one of my collarbones.

Since I got the lower screws taken out of my knee, the "cold aching" has decreased...
