hmmmm that is a good idea. Would I need to put it in a vice? And would the fore end unscrew from the gray piece? Sorry for all the dumb questions I just dont wanna mess up a brand new rifle

Just a quick question. I want to replace the front hand guard on my AR and replace it with one with rails. Do I need the special tool to take it off or does it just unscrew? Sorry If its a noob...
