Re: Handgun advice
Alright, I knew these things always end up with a Sig love fest. I do like the sigs I have held (never shot) but always wondered why they cost so much. At the gun show last weekend, they had a sig...

Re: Handgun advice
Thanks, yeah, I heard about the issues with the early ones that cracked and sent the slide into the shooter (ouch). This was supposedly fixed with the FS version that has been around for years now. ...

Re: My New Vino and Smokes!!!!
That'll get you through the weekend!
Nice collection. Vino's rock. I need to add moisture to the beads in mine about once every 2 months vs. weekly for the desktops.:banger

99% done with the new smoking porch. Just need finishing details. No good photos yet, but furniture has arrived, just waiting in the garage...

Handgun advice
Here's another handgun question for the gang. I have been seriously contemplating a Beretta 92FS Inox (stainless) or the newer 90-two. Looking at 9mm, as have different plans to build my 45 HD...

Re: Speaker Recommendations?
I've been happy with B&Ws for solid state. Going to analog, there is a whole new world out there... I have a pair of Silverline Sonatas with my analog gear and they can really sing.
What type of...

Re: Famous Nic 3000 bundle?????
I think they are good, but quite harsh when young. If you let them sit for a year, they become a really great cheap smoke. When available, I highly recommend getting a few bundles and letting them...

Re: Say Hello To My Little Friend
Cigar had been in the Vino for probably 6-8 months.
Certainly not as common as the desktops in 80F environments, but clearly not 100% safe no matter what the temp.

Re: Say Hello To My Little Friend
Ahhh, great question. My Vino stays around 66-70. It has seen some excursions to the mid 70s for short periods of time, but its been pretty constant. My previous beetle issues have happened in my...

Re: Say Hello To My Little Friend
Actually, wasn't a big deal, after I yanked him out I fired up the cigar at lunch and it was just fine. The home he made himself was actually pretty small, with very little actual cigar damage.

Say Hello To My Little Friend
Well, its been a few weeks since I rummaged through the Vinos, so I figured I'd take a closer look at some smokes and check for trespassers (I had some beetle issues a couple months ago).
Well,...

Re: More Beetles!
Not sure, but I doubt it (it hasn't gotten warm yet in NC). I have 2 Vinos that sit at 60-68F, but this was my room temp desktop. I suppose there is a chance the damage is from last fall or earlier...

All bagged up and into the freezer. Glad to know the wife recently bought a vacuum sealer. I am going out of town for a few weeks, so 3 weeks in the freezer should work just fine.

Re: North Carolina
Not sure about up in Oxford, but I love Q-Shack in Durham. Many people like Danny's (texas style), but I prefer the Q-Shack. I think they opened a store in Chapel Hill now as well.
