Re: Intoduction
Welcome! I was a New England to Florida transplant myself, although now I find myself in Virginia. Better than a Rhode Island winter, but I definitely miss the 80 degree winters down there!

Re: Your BEST Maduro / Oscuro
Call me crazy, but a Cubao Maduro. I don't even think they still make 'em, but they're not too hard to find. They're just smooth and spicy and chocolatey all at the same time, and they never fail me....

Re: Goldie RIP :(
So sorry to hear that. I have a Cairn Terrier that just turned 15, and he's starting to go downhill fast, so unfortunately I'll be in the same situation soon.

Re: Who pushed you down the slope?
My father-in-law. Back in Naples, FL he had access to CCs. My first one was a Partagas Luistiania, and I nearly puked. He laughed like hell but still let me marry his daughter, so it was win-win. ...

Very true! I don't miss having to take a shower after taking the dog for a ten minute walk in July.

Re: Strongest cigar you've ever smoked?
This! From the first puff I knew I was screwed, but back when a $5 cigar was a splurge for me, I spent 10 bucks on this cigar, so I'll be damned if I wasn't going to nub that thing.

Re: Onyx Reserve Toro
This was one of my 'starter' cigars back about 9 yrs ago. I would buy them at the liquor store because I thought the band looked cool, lol. They used to knock me on my a$$!

Re: Good morning smokes?
Perdomo Champagnes are a good morning stick. 601 Connie's are mild but flavorful as well. Both are good with coffee and would probably go great with a latte.

Re: Nestor Miranda Danno?
+1. I remember these being excellent when they first came out, but I haven't had one in couple years. I probably need to revisit these.

Re: Black Crown
Ditto what Mac said. Decent smokes to have around, but nothing special. I've smoked several of each size and the corona is probably the best IMO.

Re: Legado de Pepin???
I smoked one a few weeks ago, and while it wasn't anything special, I found it to be a decent cigar with 'Pepin-esque' flavors, although on the lighter side of medium bodied (for me, anyway).

Re: You gotta be kidding me...Devils Site overbid
No joke, but I've noticed at the end of the month, the bids get a little crazy. Just my thought, but I've always chalked it up to people getting their paychecks or social security, and the influx of...
