Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
I have 2 different batches of Jamaica Blue Mountain cold brewing. One in the Toddy and the other in the Hario. Going to do a taste test in the morning to choose my favorite.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
Picked up this grinder on Craigslist today for $125. Can't wait to French press it and use it for my Toddy once again. https://imageshack.com/a/img12/5548/j17k.jpg

Re: What are you roasting today?
It's gonna be a good roast day. I'm gonna roast some Kona and some 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain. Will likely roast 1.5# of Kona for cold brewing and 1.5# JBM for French press.
I also picked the...

Yeah, Gurkhas just need a nap, but we're all to impatient to give 'em enough time in the humi to let them develop. ;)

Re: Is the Keurig here....
I opened a k-cup once and it seemed to be a bit more like a percolator type of a grind than much of a coarse drip when I've tinkered with it all of the 30 seconds I've spent on it thus far. :sh

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
I love the grinder, but for my use, it does a less than desirable job for getting it coarse enough for cold brewing. The grounds are still just a bit too fine that it really plugs up the filter. It...

Re: Is the Keurig here....
It's far from the quality of a french press, but I picked up a new K75 just for the sheer convenience of making an additional cup or two after I've had good coffee in the morning. Now I just have to...

Re: Help! Need recommendations/advice
Personally, I've really been liking a Ethopian Sidamo Natural I got off of the GCBC board awhile back. Tasting notes I read mentioned "blueberry waffles" and it describes it perfectly. :tu

I always roast until the start of 2nd crack rather than a lighter roast. I've also noted that I've tended to prefer coffees from Africa compared to South American beans. The result has been bolder...

Re: New tires. New dent.
You have to give the guy credit for having enough sack to call you. In today's world, a lot of people would have left the scene if nobody saw them.
