Re: Fitness Bands? Any Suggestions?

I think the most interesting thing about them is the monitoring of your downtime. Some have features to remind you to get up and move about if you've been sitting too long...

I'm particularly...

Re: Fitness Bands? Any Suggestions?

I've been watching the activity trackers for a bit now as well, waiting to pull the trigger on one. There are a couple coming out in this quarter with heartrate monitoring added in, so that's what...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

It was good... I don't mean to be a negative nancy. It's still the best thing on tv. I just felt like it started the half-season way stronger than it ended.

If they're gonna follow the comic...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

I really wish this midseason had ended stronger. I kind of felt like they really didn't accomplish much after that butt-kicking start.

I mean.... the first 3 episodes were strong finishes to the...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

I've been trying to figure that out as well.

My best guess is that it somehow ties into her talk with Dawn about how Dawn always gets someone else to do her dirty work or something....

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

I think gabriel is more running away from the people he thinks are homicidal maniacs (rick's group... and in all fairness if you hadn't seen anyone for all that time and the first people you meet...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

That was a.... juicy... episode.

A bit of a filler, setting everything up for next week's season break. But still had some fun action in it.

Definitely award winning "best use of a zombie...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

Yeah, that scene confused me at first as well. I thought the book fell out of carol's backpack, but i guess it was supposed to be darryl's pack and it just fell out when she was handing it to him or...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

Ok... caught up on the last two...

Don't know anyone else's take on these, but they were both a bit slow.

(spoilers! don't read if you're behind)

The splinter group episode with Abraham...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

Also remember Morgan from the very first episode is kicking around the forest near the church as well. Darryl could have met up with him.

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

ALSO SPOILERY

The only saving grace to that episode was seeing Carol wheeled in. Speculation is that she's faking it, that she and Darryl some how scouted the place and got info that Beth was in...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

Fist somewhat disappointing episode of the season.

Felt like a bit of a filler episode.

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

That'll be interesting. I stopped with the comic when things got a little weird with a dude with pet tigers... but up to that point it was good.
The thing I think they're gonna run into problems...

Re: Walking Dead Season 4

It's been pretty awesome. From the last few episodes of Season 3 it's been non-stop action.

For those who followed the comics, did you notices last weekend's episode pretty much mirrored the...

Re: Games thread!

I did like a few of those DLCs... zombie islands and whatnot.
Is 1.5 coming out for the new consoles? I've been thinking about getting a new console but haven't seen a game which looks fun enough...

Re: Games thread!

I liked Borderlands 1, never tried 2... might give that a shot.
Waiting on a reboot of an old old game I used to play on the C64 - Wasteland... to finish.

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?

Just watched the "Lego Movie" on the plane.
Despite all the good reviews it was just plain dumb. Cutesy feel-good kid's movie, nothing really valuable for an adult.

And to top it all off...

Re: Sharknado!

Sharknado was so stupid.... I loved it.

You have to be ready for that amount of bad, low budget stuff. I mean, driving down the road with the water only a foot deep, but having huge sharks...

Re: Data Recovery from a 5.25" Floppy (Apple IIc)

Along that note, if you could just print it, then re-scan it into a modern computer with text recognition.

I know my parents still have a disassembled IIe laying around the house, I'm sure...

Here's a list of apple running environment emulators.
You'll need one of these, as well as get it to run Appleworks, and an external 5.35 drive.

Re: Data Recovery from a 5.25" Floppy (Apple IIc)

Wow...
That's a tough one.

I mean, even if you get a 5.25" drive on USB, I'm guessing his current computer isn't going to even begin to understand that floppy.

My best bet would be to look...

Re: Movie this weekend

I think that's going to become the new method of measuring enthusiasm for a task in our household.

Is it really worth putting pants on for?
