I'd go private party myself-why pay a dealer 20-30% more just to get one off the lot to pay commission, operating costs, etc? (Obviously assuming used is an option). There's not any more "free"...

I think the reason you want more of a coarse grind is because it makes it easier to press the coffee down. If it's really fine, it'll cause more pressure to build up, while a coarse grind will allow...
