Dish for 7 years, moved no south view in apt switched to Uverse. Channels are the same. Customer service is harder to get too than Dish but the same. Had to have 5 or 6 tech calls when got it to...

Held up fine over the last year. Newest mod I did after moving. I would say it will last a few years at least. It cuts maintenance down to nothing as it allows the water to go back into the air.

What I did to counter the water running down the back of my Edgestars was to add a strip of humidity bead paper from heartfelt down the back of the unit..

Nothing wrong with using DDT if they are, it is effective. Lot of myths and fallicies about DDT. But DDT isn't a fumigant. ;)
Personally I would hope they are using Methyl Bromide, but I doubt...
