Re: Work on a Cruise ship?
Disclaimer: I have NO experience working for a cruise line, so this is my observations only.
Reading that FAQ, I see a lot of well-worded roundabouts to the questions. "...in deference to our...

Re: Any good places to buy software?
Technically, that license is not valid for a non-student.
Software prices are usually pretty fixed. Companies like Microsoft will not allow their products to be sold for less than a certain...

Re: Cc number stolen
If I were you, I would cover all my bases. You have no idea where they got that information, so if something was compromised, other things could be as well.
Start by inspecting statements for any...

Re: I'm done smoking in Cigar Lounges
Coming from a former B&M employee, I can tell you that there is no way to ventilate a lounge well enough if there are 10 guys all chuffing away like a Union Pacific Big Boy hauling a string up-grade....

Re: Undercrown Flying Pig
I never quite took to the Flying Pig size. The Feral was better, I think made mostly by the extra length, but the original FP was, as Brooks said, fairly awkward to smoke and didn't really do...

Re: My Morning BLT
Nice pictures, very cool. Any chance you might have a few closeups of that ruin over to the side? It can't be very old, but the design has me curious.

Re: Cotinine test/screen
Some Google research and I learned a few interesting things about this particular test.
Urine is the preferred medium to test, because Cotinine is concentrated about 10X higher in urine than in...

Re: Japanese Beetle Invasion.
Funny thing, those beetles avoid Louisiana because we're host to a large population of stink bugs, which are natural predators of Japanese Beetles.
Some research indicates that any sort of baited...

Could not agree more. An education is worth exactly what you WANT it to be worth, and exactly what you MAKE it worth.

Re: Skunks in my yard! What to do
Contact animal control first. Some species of skunk are endangered, so killing one is a federal felony.
Skunks can be trapped and tranquilized (to prevent spraying) easily, and removed to another...

Re: College Saving Plans
Personally, I would be looking at Zero coupon bonds right now. Low face cost, tax advantages, the ability to plan for an exact duration to maturity, and the ability to lock down a given return now in...

If it is independent, then connect your computer to the modem...

B&M shops are a strange beast. I know, I ran one for several years. Pricing is 100% undeniably at the sole discretion of the owner or manager. At the very least, as Peter said, the prices will...

Re: The gears are turning, I need some oil.
There's an idea in there somewhere, mostly because a lot of wine coolers still get a substantial drip of condensation rolling down the back of the cooler from the Peltier cooler.
I suspect if you...

Re: The gears are turning, I need some oil.
Is that a Peltier device or is it just a passive radiator setup? Most PC cooling devices don't actively cool the water, they just dissipate the heat via a fan and radiator grid.

Re: 06 Chevy Colorado or 08 Toyota Tacoma?
I love me some Chevrolet, but that Colorado is damn uncomfortable to get in and out of to me, and I think they have the response of a drunk brick.
That being said, I know the Toyota is slightly...
