Re: Rolex, Breitling, or Tag
Rolex Service Center will often times pull a part and replace it with a new one (at your discretion ofcourse) and keep the old part for refurbish purposes.

Re: Rolex, Breitling, or Tag
Moses,
I'm well aware you're a WIS, so I'll refrain from arguing with you about RSC's service. My watch gains roughly 2.something seconds a day which by my standards is well within COSC specs....

Re: Rolex, Breitling, or Tag
A standard maintenance at RSC in Dallas costs between 300-400 dollars. Often times this is an internal service/cleaning, bracelet polish, and case polish.
Assuming something is obviously broken,...

Re: Rolex, Breitling, or Tag
I own a number of watches, but I prefer my Rolex watches over the others as far as wrist time goes. My Sub is extremely versatile with a nato strap, rubber strap and oyster bracelet.
I wear my...

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
I was looking for something to substitute for wearing my Sub Date all the time. For being 20 years old it still looks good but I want to keep it that way.
My mom got me a neat Luminox 3050 that...

Re: New Year's Champagne/Wine advice
For middle of the road, but yet actual "champagne" I usually go for Veuve Cliquot. It can be easily had from 35-50 dollars and is excellent. Same for Piper Heidsieck.
I don't really care for...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Shiner released a seasonal Christmas brew called "Cheer."
It's pretty amazing tasting. It's a Dunkelweizen with peach, pecan, and other spices.

Re: Junk customer service at cheap humidors
Nothing against you and these situations can be frustrating, but I would never buy humidor from a company with the word "cheap" in the name. If the quality isn't somewhat lacking, there's a chance...

Re: Tubos: Cigar Protection or Marketing shtick
I'm not sure how long they plan on keeping it but I doubt it's going to months on end.
For what it's worth, I gifted a handful of Upmann Coronas Major to my buddy who smoked 1 or 2 the same night...

Re: Burnt out on the Hit and Miss of cigars.
Often times smaller ring gauge cigars can deliver smoke more efficiently to your palate. There's nothing wrong with smoking large ring gauge cigars, but if I had the choice, I'd stick with...

Re: Tubos: Cigar Protection or Marketing shtick
I like tubos, and often times keep my leftover tubes specifically to carry cigars around in. If I go to the course, I'll toss a couple in my bag and I know there won't be any issues with them when I...

Re: Smoked Brisket??
1. Maintained heat level that should vary depending on cook time (very important)
2. Moisture of some kind. If doing an open smoke without foil or anything, you'll need a water pan.
3. A good...

Yah, those suckers look like a Milky Way Midnight bar. I smoked the Robusto. Slightly box pressed, very oily, and smoked like a dream.

Re: Kristoff maddy knot
I smoked the Maduro Robusto a couple weeks ago. It wasn't a bad smoke, but I wouldn't clamber back to the B&M to drop another 7 bucks on one.
