Re: Frog Morton
I've read that on various forums, Frank. Don't know if it's accurate or not.
It seems to me that FM on Bayou (I've not had the other blends) is a milder version of 5110. For me, the price...

Re: Frog Morton
I've only smoked F.M on the Bayou. It's a pretty good smoke but I prefer McClelland's 5110, especially considering the price, around $2.39/ounce in bulk.

Re: How do you like your meerschaum?
I have a Paykoc, a bent lattice similar to the picture below, that I bought from our local B&M. It's a pretty pipe but does have a gurgle problem on some occasions. The moisture is collecting on...

Re: Same Shape Pipes
Since getting back into pipes after a 35 year or so layoff, I've purchased 6 pipes in the last month. The only straight pipe is a MM cob. The others are bents of some flavor. My favorite pipe 35...

Re: Diesel by AJ Fernandez
I bought a fiver of the Diesel's, liked them and just received a box. These are one of the few cigars that I still like. I tried some La Herencia Oscuro Fuerte Solomon's and they weren't nearly as...

Re: I think I'll try a pipe---again
I bought my first one around 1968 at Cliff's Smoke Shop in Lincoln. It was a #357 Prince, black, rusticated and the one that caught my eye in the shop. I wish I could remember what I paid for it. ...

Re: I think I'll try a pipe---again
The GBD now stands a chance of lasting a long time. I no longer operate Cat loaders:D I'm going to keep looking at ebay for a spare, though, just in case something happens to this one.

Re: Scotch Q&A
My first bottle of Scotch was Laphroaig 10 year. The initial taste reminded me of the stuff my dentist used to use to deaden an injection site. After a few more sips, the taste mostly went away and...

Re: I think I'll try a pipe---again
I got my ebay, GBD 549 bulldog cleaned up and am smoking the first bowl. So far, so good. As I smoked SWR in my original GBD (357 Prince bulldog, rusticated) 40 years ago, that's what I loaded in...

I think I'll try a pipe---again
After 20 years of cigar smoking, I've "hit the wall". My old favorites disappoint and the "new" cigars I've tried just aren't doing it for me. The only cigars I have in my two coolers that I have a...

Re: Shipping Question
I got 60 lbs of lead alloy, flat rate shipping, the other day from a friend who I told I'd cast some 125gr 9mm bullets for. The mailman is a skinny guy but said he didn't mind.

Re: Where did Dog Watch Social Club go?
Yeah, thanks. I haven't listened to D.W. for awhile and the link I used to use (http://www.dogwatchsocialclub.com/) directed me to my stupid ISP's search engine which turned up nothing.
