I wasn't able to watch the race since Speed only broadcasted it once at 5 AM pacific time and wasn't about to wake up that early..but when I saw that Maldonado won, I was blown away.

So the actual CC's were in plain view and easily accessible? Seems kind of odd to me since the B&M's I go to who I know carry legit CC's usually stash them away in a locker or somewhere inaccessible...
