Re: Most satisfying box purchase?

07 DPG Lanceros from Puff-n-Stuff - only 100 boxes of 20 were made. Still have 3 boxes and cannot get myself to break them. lol

Re: Going to Napa, CA

I always like walking around Dean and Deluca - a little pricey, but you can sample cheeses and they have good breads you can buy.

Sandwiches are not bad it you are looking for lunch.

Re: Getting my Aristocrat Plus humidor next week!

Beautiful cabinet.

Just make sure to watch your head as you are getting in and out of bed. That top molding could really hurt. lol

Re: Uneven burn issues in San Francisco

It has been a couple of years since I lived in the city, so my memory could be playing tricks on me. :D :r

I would do a couple of things.

1. Make sure you calibrate your hygrometer once it...

Re: Uneven burn issues in San Francisco

Interesting, I do not recall having any issues myself unless I tried to smoke at Ocean Beach. I used to live on 28th and Judah. While the humidity is high outside, I never seemed to have an issue...

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

You guys should probably start a new thread. I am pretty sure most beginners are not worried about theories on long term aging and storage.

Just my 2 cents.

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

I know everyone is saying the same thing, but take a look at the cigar on the right. If it was plume, it would not be on the lower band as well, it would just be on the cigar.

That is definitely...

Re: What size Tatuaje La Casita Criolla do you like?

You sure Adam? Pete doesn't have it on his website. Is it a new size?

Are you thinking about the El Triunfadors?

Three shops with a pretty good selection of Tatuajes do not have them listed....

Re: Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger

The Wendy's near me is not that greasy.

Had one last week as I love pretzels. Went with the 1/4 lb. Not a bad burger, but I thought the pretzel could have been a little better. Not as soft as I...

Re: USPS refund for late shipping and delivery failure

Thanks Peter,

But do you know anyone who has ever actually done it? And how do you prove the contents were worth what you insured the package for? Especially if the cigars are no longer...

Re: USPS refund for late shipping and delivery failure

If the package is insured, you in theory should be able to get some kind of a refund if it gets lost.

I just don't know anyone who has ever tried to get a refund for an insured package through...

Re: Lighter Logistics - Flying to Vegas

I would just bring/buy a couple of bic lighters or a few djeeps. Soft flame should be fine.

Otherwise, Casa Fuente has matches, go old school.

Otherwise, can you ask the couple from LA to pick...

Re: I have a rookie question.

I think that was the year they got stuck in shipping as well. So they sat a lot longer than they usually do at higher temperatures.

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Anybody ever have Lagunitas Lucky 13 Mondo Large Red Ale?

They had a pallet at my local Costco and bottles were ~$3.50-4.00 and it said seasonal so I grabbed one.

Re: An amazing cigar experience!

I find in general that Nicaraguans don't leave as bad of an aftertaste as Dominican cigars.

Maybe it is just me but one of the reasons I like Nicaraguan puros.

Re: Thoughts on these premium sticks...

I guess it is all about perspective. I figured this thread was going to be about OpusX, Ashton VSGs/ESGs, high end Padron's or maybe some of the more expensive Tatuajes.

I enjoyed the Flor de las...

Re: Who's been your biggest cigar influence on & offline?

Interesting thread.

Online - definitely clubstogie and a member who actually got banned (:r) for selling too many cigars (the good old cottage industry). He introduced me to Tatuaje's and...

Re: Cigar locker...why?

If I smoked a couple of times a week at a lounge after work I could see getting a locker. That way I would not have to pack a travel humidor every day.

From my experience, it is usually regulars...

Re: Calibration of a Hygrometer...would this work

So I just went to check after ~10 hours.

Hygro #1 is reading 67% and my last calibration says to add 1 = 68%
Hygro #2 is reading 70% and my last calibration says to subtract 2 = 68%

So they...

Re: Are just OK cigars worth it?

The regular line of Padron's are pretty good and the 2000s are not too pricey either if I remember correctly.

There are plenty of expensive cigars, DR Cohiba's, DR Montecristo's, Ashton ESGs......

Re: Are just OK cigars worth it?

I have never had an issue with a Padron Londres and they are around $3 if I remember correctly. Great inexpensive cigar.

I am in the same boat as Tom and Peter. If I light up a cigar and...
