I lived in Austin from 92-98, we had a few icy winters
this is my 4th winter in Amarillo and first good snowy winter since 06
but figure we're a lot farther north than 98% of Texas, and at 3900...

... and about 4 hours in, the Texas Panhandle is closed for business (well really it's an icestorm at this point, snow is to come still)
