someone did an actual test in temperature of the "smoke" from a churchwarden compared to a normal sized billiard and there wasn't a discernable difference in temp of the smoke/steam - not one that...

well, you can get some of the strongest if they carry them, as they are sold in bulk.
Samuel Gawith has a few that are pretty strong, namely: 1792; Bracken Flake; Brown Rope #4.

to add what moo said....
there are plenty of pipe tobaccos out there that are very strong. some i would say are stronger in "Nic" content than cigars, and some of them are pretty potent in flavor...

next is Peter Heinrichs Curlies in a K. Huhn Zulu while watching "The DaVinci Code".
