Re: 601 Black - My take on it - whats yours?
Probably my favorite Connecticut wrapped cigar. They have a bit more to them than your average Connie but definitely not an in your face cigar. I'm just about done with a box of rabito's from 2007...

Re: Need Cigars!
As someone who has lurked on this CA/CS for about five years, reading is the absolute best thing you can do at this point. Most of the people hear have good knowledge and lots of experience in this...

Re: Emilio Cigars Grimalkin Toro
If you're near Northern Delaware, definitely make it a point to stop by the People's Plaza location and talk to Gary a bit. He's a great guy and has great connections within the industry. The humidor...

I couldn't speak from experience, but it really all depends on how it stands up to a few years. The thing that makes the Black great is how well it stands up to age. With 3-4 years they are amazing,...

Re: 601 White Labels
If its not simply a repackaging of the Black, those guys are foolish. The Black was, hands down, the best Connie wrapped cigar around.

Re: Tatuaje Black Petite Lancero
I grabbed the box+3 free for 205 and change including tax. I think that the msrp on singles is around 8.50. These can definitely be had at msrp from reputable shops.

Tatuaje Black Petite Lancero
It looks like the regular production has hit B&Ms. I picked up a box and got kicked a few freebies at my local. I never really sought them out in any of the previous releases, but now that they will...

Re: Anejo 46 - Determining Age
I'll try and get some decent pictures up later. I'm almost certain they're recent production, but the lack of humidipak threw me off a bit.

Anejo 46 - Determining Age
I just picked up a box of 46s at Holts in northeast Philadelphia. The box came wrapped in cellophane with the original box seal intact. However, upon opening, there was no Humidipak inside and no...

Re: Decent every day smokes
Not quite the size you're looking for, but the Gran Habano Vintage 2002s smoke far better than their $2.00 would lead you to believe.

Re: Your fallback cigar
601 Black. If it was the only cigar I could ever smoke I'd be happy. Other than that any Padron will deliver or the Fuente r52.

Re: Aged DPG's or Tat's
I've been snapping up aged boxes as of late. With in the past few months I've got the 8 & 11s I mentioned before and two boxes of 601 Black Rabitos, all three from late '07. Yesterday I picked up a...

Re: Ever had a red ash before?
My gut would say its a leaf's mineral content, but I'm no botanist. Could it maybe be due to incomplete combustion to a degree?

Re: Cigar Aficionado..top 10 of 2010...
I really don't get all the Camacho hate. Its fine if they're not to your tastes, but they're certainly very high quality cigars. I get that Honduran tobacco isn't everyone's favorite, but to those...

Purging often improves a cigars flavor and sometimes even corrects burn issues. Like others have said, it depends on how a particular cigar is developing, but I have never had a cigar respond...

Re: *2010 MLB Thread*
Its most likely that the Phillies will deal out Blanton somewhere in the near future. They're over budget and the 8 million or so a year that moving Blanton frees up would ease the Phil's finances a...
