Re: Storing a Humidor
This is my "grab n go" humidor. The cigars will be transferred to a travel humidor or coolidor.
Yes, it will be stored in the house. I am debating sealing the humidor inside of a large ziplock...

Storing a Humidor
I realize this isn't a typical topic for this forum.
What precautions should one take when needing to store a humidor that won't be used for a while?
I plan to remove the beads and...

Re: For those looking for a wine cooler...
Compressor-driven wine coolers are capable of being good humidors. Yes these require more in initial setup and RH beads (or equivalent) than thermoelectric units, but the trade-off is the...

Re: Large Ring Gauge Punch Cutter
I'm very pleased with the Victorinox Cigar Knife. It has three punches: 11mm, 8.5mm, 5mm (approximate diameters). While more expensive than some options, I feel it was worth the cost since it...

Re: Blazer Torch CG-001 vs. Little Buddy
The CG-001 and PB-207 have the same burner arrangement. The Little Buddy is different. I don't remember if is a good or bad thing, it's just a difference.
Flame adjustment on the CG-001 and...

Re: torch and cutter, in flight carry on?
Will the Tranzpack hold a Blazer CG-001 or PB-207? Otherwise, what lighters will it hold?
Is it true that Colibri will no longer be offering this case to the US market?

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)
I've never bought from Thompson's but got their catalogs anyhow. Had to send a 'stop' request online.
For online cigar shops I would add Famous Smoke, Atlantic Cigar, and Slippery Rock Cigars.

Re: Cigar storage question
Cello does allow the cigar to 'breathe' during storage; although not as freely as a cigar without cello.
Cello is nice to have when traveling as it provides some damage protection for the cigar.

Re: Opinions regarding Mexico?
What is your perception of Mexico?
A country with corrupt politics and high crime rates. Although it's been that way for a long time, it's worse today. And VW Bug taxi cabs everywhere.
If you...

Re: Uh... Problem..
It does take time for everything to stabilize. I've also noticed that many digital hygrometers have a sampling rate of one minute or more. Meaning that it won't instantly adjust to changing...

Re: Opening hcm beads?
The plan was to retire the 100-ct and get another coolidor or a fridge setup.
Now I'm thinking about a desktop in the 50-ct to 75-ct range in addition to another coolidor or fridge setup. Use the...

Re: Had to renew my license yesterday
Ohio BMV doesn't really care what that picture looks like.
Although that picture is sure to get some comments and maybe some trouble for the next few years.

Re: Opening hcm beads?
I went through a similar thought last year and bought 8oz. for my 100-ct desktop when I only needed 4oz. The 8oz. package was the better value and there is no harm in having more beads than the...

I picked up two bottles of Goose Island 312 earlier in the week and drank them tonight. Agree it's mediocre, not bad but nothing special to buy again.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Goose Island Honkers Ale is good stuff. Might have a slight bitter aftertaste, but the hops/malt balance was good and not too strong on the hops. Not a heavy beer either.
Picked up the Harvest...
