Re: Want a cigar, can't have a cigar. What do you do instead?

Got a nice big fat buck today, so cigar game back on! Till it's time to go out and chase another one anyhow. :) My back hates me so much after dragging it and lifting his big fat fuzzy deer butt in...

Re: Holiday pufferation

Bummer! Get well soon. If I get a deer this week I'll definitely give myself another smoke break on the weekend and puff one for you. -(P

Holiday pufferation

Banished to the back porch to smoke, but what a delicious cigar. Bolivar RC from 2019, lovely rich coffee flavors backed by classic Cuban twang. Hoping everyone else is having a fine holiday smoke!...

Re: Want a cigar, can't have a cigar. What do you do instead?

I've heard it often enough that it may well be true. Native Americans disguised their scent with wood smoke, which is not unfamiliar to deer. But I've also had them spook when the wind changed and...

Re: Want a cigar, can't have a cigar. What do you do instead?

Congratulations! I am terrible at turkey calling and my hunting buddy who was good at it moved away, so I didn't go after them during our season. I like venison for the work to meat ratio, but my...

Re: Want a cigar, can't have a cigar. What do you do instead?

Holding off on the alcohol too, deer can smell that also. My life is one of basically No Fun other than the actual hunting, which I'm doing every time I can get off work long enough or early enough....

Want a cigar, can't have a cigar. What do you do instead?

I want a cigar. Actually I want about five of them all in a row. I can not have any cigars because I'm scheduled for some serious deer hunting and need to avoid strong smells. I have a few too many...

Re: Yagua toro

I smoked one and was not hugely impressed, though it certainly wasn't a bad cigar by any means. The feel in the hand was interesting, very dense but irregular. The flavor notes were sweet dried...

OK to post discount codes here? I got a good one for Fabrica005.

I don't work for any cigar business, am just a much too avid consumer. Scored a 20% off discount code in my email for Fabrica005 and figured I'd share the wealth for folks who know about these cigars...

Re: Lancero love

Smoked a Triniadad Espiritu #3 tonight. Technically they call it a Fundadores but it's more of a box pressed lancero. Very nice dark oily wrapper with a good feel. Predominant notes were dark sweet...

Re: Lancero love

Interesting! I smoked two of them and enjoyed both. I found them smooth and pleasant throughout, with no off flavors. Not as complex as some others in this vitiola, but a good smoke with clean...

Re: Lancero love

Thanks! I didn't know Don Pepin had a lancero. Was it good? I enjoyed the My Father lancero, though not nearly as much as the comparably priced or cheaper Fabrica 005 lancero.

Re: Lancero love

My tasting notes on the Fabrica 005 lancero, smoked pretty fresh. Liked it a lot.

The wrapper was dark and attractive, much darker than the others in my sampler. The pre-light aroma and draw had...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I like Elijah Craig barrel proof, most of the releases anyway, especially some of the local ones. Booker's Apprentice batch is also very nice with a cigar, clean and almost cognac-like. I recently...

Re: Remote Wireless Hygrometers

I've used Inkbird and Govee with good results. Inkbird seems better on battery life as well as customer service, but Govee is usually cheaper. Also have some cigar oasis type units for my bigger...
