New Design Element
I had a request for one of my small "Meteor" series humidors... which is a 30 count humidor - fairly straight forward and bare bones.....
This customer wanted me to add on a compartment at the bottom to hold accessories... with the latch. He didn't want a drawer, but basically a hinged box thing..... so, I came up with this.... Top part is the humidor, bottom part is for accessories... Wondering what ya'all think? Should I make it a "thing"??? http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...psvqnr42mm.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...pseudinf5n.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...psu4cf3qgz.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...psun9cphyf.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...psevgjqcxl.jpg |
Re: New Design Element
When you open the "bottom" won't all of the cigars slide around and move in the top? :|

As long as the customer is happy, that's what pays the bills.

I am not enthusiastic that you have to turn the humidor over to open the bottom. Maybe the bottom could be attached with 4 arms. To get to the bottom storage, the humidor would lift up and back. I'm searching for examples - how 'bout the inner shelf in some fishing tackle boxes?

Thanks for the feedback.... Well, the BOTL that spec'd this one out is happy, but, I don't think I'll do another like it... Better to just make two boxes, really, one for stogies and one for accessories... Yeah, I like that idea better...
