Questions from my Chicago Brothers
I'll be in Chicago from Sunday, Sept. 28 until Wednesday, October 1st. I know there's Iwan Ries Tobacconists and Casa De Montecristo in Countryside, IL. Plan to hit the Casa on Tuesday Evening. My question is WHERE are the good places to eat? Our last Chicago visit left us mostly disappointed in the food.
Oh, and BTW, if anyone wants to hang out Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Casa De Montecristo, let me know. Maybe we can meet up.:tu |

Re: Questions from my Chicago Brothers
I had the distinct displeasure of being forced into Tavern on Rush...endless terror in a city filled with gastronomic excellence. One course was a bland fish hidden underneath a pile of seemingly unwanted boiled groceries, presented on a block of wood.
:hn People in Chicago say that deep dish is a must for first timers, but I don't know...first time I was in Chicago, I did the Pizzaria Due's Numero Uno Medium, and passed out after 1 slice. You have been warned! :D Any guidance on the dining party? Guys night, client dinner (how many), date night, family outing, etc - makes a difference. |
Re: Questions from my Chicago Brothers
Sundra at 110 W Illinois Street (top notch!)
Catch 35 at 35 W Upper Wacker Dr. (great seafood and desserts!) Pizzeria Due on the corner of E Ontario St and W Wabash Ave is pretty dang good pizza. |
