Rest in Peace Tuco

Eli Wallach has passed away at 98. Rest in Peace.

I am a little let down variety calls him the villain of the good, the bad and the ugly, he was not the villain. Probably some kid writing the headline but never saw the movie.

Was reading an article one time, backstory on either The Magnificient Seven or maybe one of the other westerns Wallach was in. One thing he had an awful time getting the hang of was reholstering his revolver without looking down at the hoslter. They had to recut some film because it wouldn't look right to have his character appear like a gun-novice.

Because of all the ribbing he got from other actors Wallach made a point of getting better at it so it looked like his characters knew their way around guns in subsequent films.

Some of Eli's roles give such sage advice, such as the bath scene from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly…

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

I agree Tom, while he might be gone, his craft will give me many many years of enjoyment and hopefully for many generations to come.

Might have to watch The GB&U this weekend. Love that movie. Can't believe he was still with us for 98 years. He looked old 40 years ago.
