B&M's in San Diego

Look's like I'm going to be in San Diego later this week for work. I'll be staying around the airport. Are there any B&M's around there with a good smoking lounge? I'll actually be working out in Santee are there any out that way?

Santucky? Not sure about there, but a little more toward the S.H.I.T. crew there are two places to smoke / B&Ms, Liberty Tobacco and The Churchill Lounge, there is also Excalibur but the last time I was there the walk-in humidor was a mess, mold on sticks, barely stocked, etc,.

Are you going to have a car while here?

My personal preference is The Churchill Lounge

Liberty Tobacco

The Cuban Cigar Factory is in the Gaslamp District and nearby the airport.

I really enjoyed this place when I was there.

Also, no clue how close to the airport, this place was pretty cool as well.

I'll have my rent car and as of right now I'm staying at the DoubleTree which I think is around the gas lamp area isn't it?

CCF is 1.1 miles from the Doubletree
Habanos Cafe is 3.5 miles from the Doubletree

Let me ask you guys. Where would you stay....close to the airport? I don't know that area very well. I stayed out by the stadium a couple weeks ago, nice but was a hassle getting back to the airport.

If you're on your employers dime, I suggest here:

Wife and I have stayed there a few times for a staycation and really liked it

I am but still have to get approval for accommodations and that might be a little over what they allow:). But they usually don't say anything about what I spend on my meals so some good seafood is on my radar this week.

If you can, make it out to the S.H.I.T. herf on Thursday. Cuban Cigar Factory is not a long walk fromt he Doubletree (I usually stay there when I am in SD). CCF is a good B&M and has a good selection of beer and liquor.

Heading there right now :)

Son is getting a Make a Wish and we are flying to San Diego today. Saturday he gets to spend the day with a Pro BMX rider, Garret Reynolds

So is the Cuban Cigar Factory a good place to go?

Considering it's close to your hotel, it's as good a place as any.
There is another B&M in Seaport Village (even closer to the hotel) called Captain Hunt's. It's small and no smking area indoors but there are some benches to relax and enjoy a smoke.

CCF is bigger and has a lounge.

When working near downtown, I often stayed at the Holiday Inn Bayside -- You can smoke on the balcony and it is short drive to Churchills' (and Racines) in Old Town.

Definitely Racine & Laramie in Old Town. Neat 100 year old building, nice people, and some HTF cigars.

Agreed. But definitely not walking distance from his hotel. ~4 miles away

A cab or car would be needed.

We took the train that goes up and down every 30 minutes. It drops you off right behind Racine & Laramies.

Yep. San Diego Trolley would work, too. :tu
