First Humi, Part Duex

So a few weeks ago I posted a pic of the humidor my parents got me for Christmas ( wasn't aware of the empty humi thing, lol). So I got her seasoned and figured I would post a not empty pic!

One thing I noticed, initially I tried to season with the Boveda 1-step seasoning packet that it came with (84%rh), this was not enough. Within a week the packet was granular and the rh started to drop. So if anyone tries the Boveda seasoning method, in my experience, more than one packet will probably be required. I finished the seasoning with distilled water.;)

I doubt you could ever do a first seasoning with a packet, bowl of distilled water for a few weeks, congrats :tu

According to Boveda, it is supposed to work, but even a newbie like me was a little suspect.

:tpd:

I think I went from a 20-count to a 50 then a 100 in about six months, then from using both the 50 and 100 to a wineador about nine months after that.

25 -> 100 -> 150 -> full out cabinet 72" tall.

This is bad !!

Nice Jim! And yes, start looking at coolers for storage or a 250ct Treasure Dome is pretty good and reasonably priced. Regardless, it's rarely enough space :D

50ct desktop -> 150qt Marine Cooler. And guess what? In 2 years, I'm just about out of room. :lr

Bigger is always better.

50>100>2x100>2x100&50>12 bottle>16 bottle>28 bottle & 48 qt cooler & a locker at my B&M.

a very steep slope indeed :adam

i hope you have fun every step of the way my friend :tu

I'm guessing you parents want you to go broke! ;) I would add in the slippery slope smiley, but for some of us it was more of falling off a cliff. Enjoy!
