Unofficial PAC 12 Football Thread 2013
Here we go......LOVE this time of year!
PREDICTIONS North – Oregon South - UCLA Champion – Oregon OPOY – DAT DPOY – Anthony Barr The Utes have to sweep the State of Utah(Utah State, BYU and Weber State) and win three PAC 12 games to be bowl eligible…..UGH. Not sure they can do either. Will cross my fingers for wins against USU, BYU, Weber, Washington St., Colorado and then hope to get either Oregon St./Arizona and go bowling. 15 days until kickout….and that Thursday night against Utah St. should give a decent indication of what type of team Utah is going to field this year. |

North Champ: Oregon. The Oregon at Stanford game will determine the PAC 12 North Champ.
South Champ: Arizona State. I know UCLA is the favorite, but I’m going to dare to be different here. Hopefully Oregon wins the PAC 12 – Go Ducks! |

Solid win for the Utes against a team that won 11 games last year and returned 14 starters, including their entire offensive line and QB, who I think it without a doubt, the most dynamic player in the State of Utah.
Utah appears to have a better offense, though there are concerns with they inability to run the ball effectively against Utah State. The loss of Kenneth Scott to a broken ankle is big...and going to hurt for the rest of the season. The defense looked bad at times, though I am not 100% sure that wasn't just Chuckie Keeton.... If I had a nickel for every time he should have been sacked and ended up making a play, I may be able to buy a soda. In the end, a win is a win, for the Utes... After next week they will be 2-0, with the sacrificial lamb, Weber State, coming to town. Then the schedule gets wicked.... |

I am feeling better about the Oregon State game. Feel like the Utah front 4 will be able to get pressure on Mannion, making it more difficult to pass. Hopefully that is the case, I don't think the Beavers can beat Utah with the run. IF Utah could win, would be a better start than I expected.
BC better not beat USC, because if so, they face Utah State the next game, who I believe is better than BC or WSU. If USC started 1-3, Kiffen wont coach game 5. |
