Dark Lord Day 2013
Looking forward to my 5th Dark Lord Day on April 27th. Hoping to be lucky enough to get tickets again. Who is going to try and make the event this year?

Re: Dark Lord Day 2013
Ouch, I'm out of town that weekend. Brutal. Looks like I'm missing out yet again. :(

Definitely. There will be a large group of us from another cigar forum. Just follow the smoke to find us. :-)

Re: Dark Lord Day 2013
Didn't even try to score DL tix this year, between uncertainty if I could get the day off, and the clusterf*ck of new rules that keep getting stricter every year.

Group B!
If anyone has an extra, I have several friends that got shut out. We can bribe you with pulls off of our BCBS keg we'll have there (shhh, don't tell anyone). |

Where does this take place? I have seen threads about it, but don't even know what it is.

From their website: "Dark Lord Day is the only day of the year to buy Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout. DLD is a festival where participants can meet other beer enthusiasts, sample beers from all over the world, buy your Dark Lord, eat, listen to live music, and generally have a great time. Dark Lord is a gargantuan Russian Style Imperial Stout, with a reverse cascading head that starts out billowing the color of burnt oil like the Dark Lord rising from the black primordial beginnings. Its resonant vinous aroma has been described as cherries, sweet malt, molasses, burnt currants, plums with a port wine alcohol undertow. Mochachino notes buried within. Motor oil consistency, hellishly smooth yet divinely burnt and vinous. The first sip coats your palate with a palatial charred fruit and chocolate blanket. Alcohol burn wiggles its way down your throat with a thick body." http://darklordday.com/wp-content/th...s/dld_logo.png |
