What Happened To All those Left Wings???

Grilled a couple of packages of wings tonight -- 16 wings and they were all right-wings. I noticed this same thing the last time I grilled wings as well...

Just wondering what's happening to all those left-wings?

Are there a bunch of one-winged chickens running around somewhere??

:r

Chickens that are that good, you don't eat all at once! Sorry, just too close to an old punch line to pass up!

Ya know, I never really noticed but if true I'll bet it has something to do with the packing plant or some such. Although I am out here in sunny Southern California. :D

You have way to much time on you hands if you noticed that.:r:r

Maybe the plant packages them separately for shipping to blue states and red states? :D

I can't believe that I'm considering checking my next order of wings.

LOL! I can see it now, Herfer's everywhere doing a simulated chicken dance trying to figure out if the wings they are eating are either left or right wing. :D

At birth, all farmed chickens have their left wings amputated to prevent any daring escape attempts.

CLOSE to truth! Actually, you just clip the wing feathers of one wing. That makes them unbalanced, and they cannot fly like that. Not really applicable for most chickens, since they are raised totally indoors. But a must for "yard-birds" that are in an open top fence. Quirky info, I know!

Interesting. I thought I was just making a funny. Glad to know I'm naturally CLOSE to smart. :)
