RIP Carroll Shelby
|
Re: RIP Carroll Shelby
I never realized he was one of the longest, if not the longest, living heart transplant. He lived 22 years (1990-2012) after the transplant.

He made a great, respected name for himself. I'm sure his influence and example will continue in the world of motorsports for years to come.

R.I.P. Mr. Shelby

Re: RIP Carroll Shelby
:sad His cars will forever be classics. One of the ones I've always dreamed of owning was the 1965 GT-350.

Re: RIP Carroll Shelby
RIP Carroll Shelby. The 427 Cobra was probably one of the greatest sports cars ever made.

Re: RIP Carroll Shelby

His cars are already classics, but his legacy is forever. |

Re: RIP Carroll Shelby
Carroll was a close friend of my brother-in-law's (passed) Dad, and a good friend of my bil's family. He'll be sorely missed. I just told his wife, she didn't know (we've been at a wedding). I'm sure my BIL will be upset when she gets home, I'm sure he knows by now.
Carroll led an incredible life, for sure. He was one good dude. |

RIP Mr. Shelby...
This man was ultimately responsible for sparking my interest into classic mustangs a few years ago when I attended the Carlise, PA All Ford Nationals event. So many awesome cars that came from his mind... His influence will live on for generations to come... |
Re: RIP Carroll Shelby
Another American legend passes on. RIP Mr. Shelby.
