Can it be smoked like this?

If it is not possible to smoke as is, can it be saved and if so, how?

Get some powdered pectin mix, make a thin paste. Given the size of the tear, I'd use a piece of tobacco off another stick )maybe cut off a small part of the foot), and glue it over the tear with the "glue". Let it dry overnight. That's what most of us do!

Try to smoke it like it is, you won't get any draw. Sealed right with a patch, it should smoke fine.

that tear is not a problem, I keep a small stockpile of various wrappers handy for such repairs. As said earlier, just patch it with some pectin. I would suggest waiting longer than a day though, there is quite a bit of moisture in that pectin.

At the dollar store or some beauty supply shops you can pick up empty nail polish bottles. The small brush makes it easy to apply the pectin. You can also get liquid pectin if you dont want to mix. :2

I would apt the pectin around the edges only,it should smoke fine once the pectin dries, no need to apply more wrapper leaf as the binder still looks intact.

Indeed. This thread was extremely helpful, as I recently came across a tear in a wrapper of mine (about as long as OP's, not as wide), and was planning on making a thread about it at some point. :tu

This is what happened to me one day and how I fixed it....this plan would NOT work for you, but it sure worked for ME...

You could also smoke a different cigar and save a piece of the wrapper off of the butt, smear
it with HONEY and stick it onto the damaged area. Screw letting it dry, you've got HONEY!

Never throw a damaged cigar (beyond repair) away. Keep it in the humi as you would a band aid. I have some el cheapo cigars that I use the wrapper from in the event of damage.
