The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
I have had this old Tourniquet case since I was a little kid. I purchased it a ARMY surplus store (I was 10 or 12 years old). I have loved it since I bought it's never really been used for anything. I'm guessing Vietnam war era but don't know for sure.
I will add some spanish cedar for good measure. http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/8...uetador001.jpg http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/272...uetador002.jpg http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/5...uetador004.jpg http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/1...uetador005.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2...uetador006.jpg |

Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
:r Nice.
Do you have a couple sheets of cedar? That would make for a better environment. |
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
That looks cool, but how good is the seal???

Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
That is really neat, definitely a badass herf box.
|
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
That makes for a sweet herf box!
|
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
definitely a cool herf box, I agree that a couple thin sheets of cedar on the top and bottom would be a good idea, not absolutely necessary however. :tu

Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
Sweet!

Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
That is an awesome retro box there. I just use a couple cedar sleeves off of cigars in my traveldor.

Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
I was hankering for a game of cigar tetris and I had some cedar dividers from my desk top so I figured I would see how I could use it in the TOURNIQUETADOR.
This is how it fit with absolutely no modifications. http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/673...etador2002.jpg http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/682...etador2003.jpg http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/4...etador2001.jpg http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/587...etador2004.jpg I fit 38 cigars in it. That's a decent overflow storage until I get the Wineador. |
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
Looks nice and the price was right :tu

Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
Cool concept brother...looks great :tu

Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
Neat looking box. :tu
I've seen 50 cal ammo boxes converted into a bunch of uses, I've got one I use as a watertight tool kit for the truck. A buddy has one he uses as a humi. |
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
So badass. I approve.
|
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
Looks good!
|
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
That is bad ass. Period.
You should get some closed cell weatherstripping for around the inside edge of the lid. It'd hold humidity great. ... Now I think I see an old rubber seal in there? If it's good, erase what I said. Dood, super cool. I envy you. :tu |
Re: The TOURNIQUETADOR...say wha?
Awesome work! Love to see old stuff converted into humidors!
