Do you spit a lot when you smoke?

Maybe this is a habit carried over from when I used to smoke cigarettes but I spit A LOT when I smoke cigars. Is this normal or am I just overreacting?

I recall hearing a while back it's a good idea to avoid swallowing the far filled saliva.

I always smoke outside so it's not really an issue. A good drink just washes it all down anyway :)

I wouldn't say ALOT. I spit more when I smoke than when I don't though.

This seems like a common occurrence when you begin the hobby of smoking cigars (at least from the people I know and experience I've had). It will fade with time.

I don't. In my opinion it's a nasty habit (if you are doing it all the time, not just once during an 8 hour herf, for example). If you don't spit when you are smoking at an indoor lounge, why spit when you are outdoors. Just my :2

I did a little bit (maybe 5 times per cigar) when i first started, but after about two months now it is maybe 1 time per 5 cigars...You will get used to them, they actually WILL taste better and you won't have to spit!

Re: Do you spit a lot when you smoke?

I felt the need to spit sometimes when I first started smoking.
I would only spit when I was alone on my property.
I don't feel the need to spit anymore however, I just don't have that "need to spit" feeling anymore. It's good because it is a nasty habit to see somebody else doing.

Yes and no. I find some cigars I smoke will make me need to spit, others not so much.

I agree with MJ.
I used to spit when smoking a lot.
Now I don't at all.
