I'm gonna ask y'all to vote for something you probably wouldn't otherwise: vote for a fashion designer :noon. One of my good friends just graduated this summer at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) and is up for Elle Magazine's "Fashion Next People's Choice Award". You can vote daily and it would help her chances of winning $10,000. Her name's Raquel Zarin and here is the link:

What I am wondering is how one is supposed to vote wisely when the only thing one knows are the names, and not their designs. Did I miss some link here which would give me some inkling of her work, and an opportunity to compare hers to others? Not trying to be an @$$hole here, at least no more than usual, but for all I know your friend does not deserve the award, since some other designer may be far superior to her.


Just sayin'. If Elle constructed their site this way, it's not her fault, nor yours, but rather the magazine's rather abysmal fail. My :2 , and worth every penny.
