Change in Cello

This isn't another color changing thread I promise!

But is it just me or have a lot of manufacturers started using cello that feels a lot thinner and chinsier recently? If I am in fact not losing my mind, does anyone know the purpose? Eco friendly? Cheaper? Better air transfer?

I;ve noticed this too. I dont care as long as it offers a little extra protection. I don't like my cigars fraternizing with each other.

I've noticed that. They often times seem to be looser as well.

Probably has more to do with what size cello they bought than anything else...

Welcome to CA, please stop by the New Inmates section and post an introduction.

Seemed to have noticed difference in cello from older/newer same brands but as long as it has something to protect it and it works it's all the same to me.

Trying to cut some costs with cheaper materials?

Let's move on to a question I've been dying to know: cello on or cello off?

Re: Change in Cello

:hm...You know, my underwear has been getting a bit on the loose side too Andrew. I'm not sure if its due to losing weight around the middle, the elastic band stretching, the material wearing in certain areas, if Fruit of the Loom bean counters are switching to a more thin/ECO material, or all of the above. Maybe I should just put a crowbar in my wallet and buy a new pair...

I've noticed it in some, but usually very few and for sure the lesser expensive cigars.

^^This.
If you ever have bought the CI el cheapos or the Thompson house brands, you know that a lot of them have come in some super thin cello for many years.

Neither, just noticed some of the bargain brands at the shop have skimpier cello.

Yea, the cello is so thin you can't even see it.
