Spring Break 2011(Trip Report)
So this is VERY family friendly, but just a quick and to the point report on my family trip to Cancun, Mexico. I'll start by saying that we didn't do much other than suck in the sun and hang out at the resort. That said, it was a FANTASTIC TIME!
We stayed at a place called the GR Solaris. It is not the greatest resort in Cancun, but in my research it was good bang for the buck. I could not be more pleased. It filled out needs and probably exceeded my expectations, though it should be noted that they were not for a 5 star resort, I expected 3 Star and that is what we got....but with 5 Star FUN. It was sooooo humid, I was always having issues with the lens being foggy and or dropped with himidity. Spotting is not the sensor, it is the lens.... The Little One spent a ton of time at the pool playing basketball and with friends she met....which were many.

....as you see in these photos, the event staff was AMAZING. Spent so much time getting everyone involved in everything that was going on, assuming that was your thing. The kids joined in a lot of stuff....Michelle and I, we did a little....

If you were thirsty, didn't matter where you were at, there was a place to fill your drink. This came in handy at the beach...

Oh, and we didn't do anything... No tours, no boat ride, snorkel, jungle, whatever.... Did some shopping, went to the LCdH....but spent 99% of the time at the resort and didn't have enough time in the week for that... LCdH was awesome and had the best mojito that I have ever had. Pricing was expensive IMO....though being that I have never been to another, I have nothing to compare to.... Think I paid $17 for a BRC....and another $38 for the mojito, 2 beers and 2 cokes.... |

Looks like you guys had a great trip. getting in the sunshine and heat down there does wonders for a person, doesn't it?
How about all the fakes that were available for sale down there, too? Did you see them all over the beach and in the shop at the resort? |
