Re: SuperMoon
Very nice Scott and lucky you. I was set-up out here in Valencia, CA this evening for a 7:20 PM/PST moon rise over the mountain range, but we've been having cloudy/overcast skies today and lasted well into this evening. Ratz!:sad

Re: SuperMoon
Good shot! I went out and looked at it with my wife tonight. Pretty cool.:tu

Re: SuperMoon
Is that with a telescope camera? Or you enlarged or you have a 600mm or something!

Re: SuperMoon
Thanks! We have 100% cloud cover due to the rain, and it's expected to be like this for the next week here, so photos like yours are probably the only way I'm going to get to see it.

Re: SuperMoon
Here is one from 11:15EST, I think its a little better. Same specs on the pic, 1/125 Shutter, ISO-100, F/11. Pretty standard Canon 75-300mm zoom lens. Canon Rebel XS body. The only editing I have done is cropped the pic down to just the moon. I shoot in RAW + the highest res the camera will take. I think they are 3888x2592 resolution un-cropped
http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/2995/045qb.jpg Don't know how late I can stay up, or if the moon will get any better than it is now, we'll see. |

Re: SuperMoon
i'm pissed! i'm stuck at work and can't take any pictars! I only have a 55-200 for my nikon D90 but I bet I could still get something nice out of it.:sad

Re: SuperMoon
Use a tripod. It makes all the difference. My photo was shot with the D90 and 80-200 2.8. Dont use an exposure over 5 seconds the rotation of the earth will blur the subject. Shot at ISO 100 F11 1/250th @ 2oomm
