On rare occasions, as the lottery administrator and #1 cheerleader, I like to make a post over here about the wonderful opportunity that the CA cigar lottery is for all of us.

Now, I did not originate the lottery - it actually began in the mists of time when the Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that a cigar lottery should be formed; you know, pnoon started it - but am merely its current caretaker. Over the years, many a great BOTL and SOTL have had their palette enriched and expanded by the lottery and it can be that way for you too. Plus, there's an element of luck involved!

Here at CA, we have two different lotteries which are designed so that no member has to incur international shipping costs or hassles. The Canadian lottery is presently looking for some additional members as it has fallen below the level needed to run and is therefore on sabbatical. Be patient as all good things come to those who wait, or so they tell me. The US lottery can be found here, http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=22340. The same caveats apply as to time in at CA. The US lottery currently has two pools of players, but as the wait list is empty, it is in jeopardy of dropping to one pool at any time.

For both lotteries, it is important that all players read the rules in post #1 of their lottery thread and conform to all the rules. I do mean all the rules. We have tried very hard to make them as small as possible, so we are quite picky about the ones that we decided are very necessary.
