Cigarfest 2011!
 

I am so happy to have scored VIP tickets to Cigarfest 2011! Never been there before, but it sounds mad fun. Luckily, it occurs the month after I get back from Iraq, so I plan to par-tay! Any advice from others who have gone?

Get in line early (about 2 hours before your are supposed to get in) and bring some food and some beer for the line. If you have friends with you, bring some folding chairs to sit in.

Once in there, take your time, you have plenty of it. Enjoy the experience.

Good move Steve scoring VIP tickets instead of the 'regular' ones. You will be admitted into the hall an hour or two before the regular ticket holders. In the past there have been complaints that the handout cigars were gone before everybody could get in.

Word is that they sold out in a matter of seconds, literally. Going to be crazy, look forward to seeing you guys out there.

After waiting in line for 2 hrs they hand you a Diaper bag with a cheap humidor filled to the gills with a mixed bag of good and bad smokes and then its off to the Show floor where you get stuck in long lines to collect more Dog Rockets at what is basically a Sausage fest. You'll be lucky to get to shake Gene Arganese's hand nevermind talk to any of the Cigar Big shots. Oh and Make sure you drink early and often cause they start running out of alcohol about half way through the event Plus it'll make the Reggae band a little more tolerable. Then its Lunch time!!! Pulled Pork on Hamburger rolls and Cheap Potato Salad!!! You'll be beggin for an MRE after you taste that crap....





I'm just kiddin with you (sort of!). You should have a great time especially since it'll be your first time Going. I've been to the last 4 and decided to sit out this yrs. The one thing I will tell you is after you get all your cigars and other loot go put it away in your room or your car. That way your not stuck lugging it around with you all afternoon. Enjoy it man!
