Original House Blends vs Current Cigar Marketing

Inmates,

I have hit a stag in my cigar smoking experience. I have been smoking cigars for about 5 years now. I recent hit a stag and wanted to do something unique, I'm looking for fellow inmate input.

I want to buy 10-15 different singles of Original House Blended Cigars. I'm not talking about CI/Famous crap. I want to taste original blended idealistic cigars. I was wondering what is your favorite house blend?

Look for a major review in the upcoming months but I need your input.

Until next time, may your ashes be long and your humidor full,

Jon

PS-Cigar bloggers at Toastedfoot helped me think of this idea, thank you:)

Bonita Smoke Shop has a house blend I've been wanting to try. Maybe someday I'll just pull the trigger:

Connecticut Cigar Co. in Stamford, CT has a good house blend, rolled on site. Website is here. Not sure if they ship out though, if not, let me know and I can pick some up for you.

Yeah, that's more of the events site. Try this one. I don't think they list the house blends on the site, though. You may have to call.

Well, I'm not sure these would qualify but I would definitely recommend the House Blends that Pepin does for Cigar King/Phatash. (These are B&M's in the Phoenix, AZ area and the owner became tight with the Garcia family early on.) Anyway, he did seven different blends for them: Cuban Diplomat (OR), Cuban Diplomat Corojo Rosado, Habana Leon, Havana Soul, Hirsh y Garcia, Nacionales W, and Sancti Spiritus. The Cuban Diplomat OR, which used a CT Shade wrapper, is no longer available. Actually all of these except the Habana Leon and Hirsh y Garcia have been discontinued, but both locations have quite a bit of remaining stock of the other blends on hand.

You would be hard-pressed to find a better Pepin smoke than either the Habana Leon or H y G, IMO. Even the various Tat products would have difficult time coming out ahead of these blends.
