I just smoked my first CC. '08 Cohiba Edicion Limitada....Churchill-ish sized. So I guess I get the hype now. There is SOMETHING there, I don't know what it is, but holy $h1t it was deeeeeeelicious. This was gifted to me by a friend here, and he also sent me home with a Trinidad to try later. Not sure of the year, rather Lonsdale like in size. A great gift, but I think I'm angry with him now!! Just when you think you've gotten the slipping and sliding down the slope thing under control, some "BOTL" knocks your feet out from under you. :banger

Are you sure it was an 08 EL Cohiba, they did not produce an EL for Cohiba since 06. They did produce a Book Sublime Extra for Cohiba, was that it?

Man, I remember mine. It was a Monte #2. I was in Heaven. Then I got a hold of a Partagas. Geez it was even better! Got a couple Special Cohibas, but wifey says we can't touch them until the house issue is resolved, so they rest.

Drives me bonkers when I see all the CC threads around here!

I was also gifted one of said Cigars, a 2008 Edicion Limitada Esplendido. I was leery, but smoked it anyway. It was good, and there was "something" there as Dan put it. We both have respect for the guy who gifted us the smokes, but neither of us know enough about this other side of the slope. The fact that I been drinking beer for most of the day didn't help at all either I'm sure. Lessons learned I guess, and we move on from here. Thanks for helping to get us back on the right path.

Probably a fake. This is my sad face :(. Now I don't hold out much hope for the Trinidad. Either way....still got my cherry popped, though now I feel a little dirty. :td At least it was free...and actually not bad.
