You wanna talk about generosity?
 

So, I posted in the WTS thread some samplers that I wanted to sell to help fund getting my son a subwoofer for his car. I sold a few which really helped. That's not the end of the story....

DropTheE (Dan) PMed me after he saw the post and said he had a subwoofer and amp laying around that he wasn't using and offered to send it to me. Yep, that's right, just send it to me! After a few PMs, I finally got Dan to at least let me pay for shipping. He sent it alright. he sent it quick! I ended up with a nice Rockford Fosgate sub in a cabinet and a Blaupunkt amp. Oh, and a neat neon capacitor to top it all off.

The generosity of this place is like nothing I've ever seen. I know Dan only through seeing his posts here and I get the bomb of a lifetime. My son is stoked beyond belief. Many of you know of his knee issues. He has been officially benched for basketball for another year and is going in for another MRI next Friday as his right knee is still in pretty bad shape. There is talk of a meniscal transplant now. It's been a rough couple years for him and this really helps his spirits.

Dan is going to get a MCS style "premium sampler" but I also am looking forward to the day I can pay it forward like Dan and so many others here do every day.

That's awesome! Yes, the generosity here is outstanding. I'm happy to see the tradition of gorillas who can't count has carried over from CS to CA. Props to Dan!

I hope your son enjoys the subwoofer, and that his knee issues are soon resolved. :tu

That's awesome! I can tell you sometimes when you're bumming turning your subs up and just getting lost in the drive really helps :tu
